Trip Description:
The Inn on the Lake, located a short distance from Bristol Mountain offers a quaint get away with a view to one of the many famous Finger Lakes. Deluxe, double accommodation awaits us in this friendly hotel. Hot breakfast is served each morning. The lounge features entertainment both Friday and Saturday night. Get together with your fellow HPSC members and rehash your skiing exploits at the hospitality suite prior to Buffet dinner Saturday night. We may bring our own drinks into the hospitality suite or purchase from the hotel bar. Light snacks will be provided.
One great bonus to this trip is the closeness of Bristol Mountain to Toronto. At just 3 1/2 hours driving time to the hotel, plus some delay at the US border, we’ll be there around 11 pm in time for a drink at the bar before bedtime. On the return back to Toronto, we could be unloaded and home by 9 pm. Members in the west end will appreciate the 2nd pickup point along the QEW in Oakville. Parking is free at this commuter lot.
Bristol Mountain is the premier resort located in the Western Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York. The resort sits on a base elevation of 1,000 feet and rises to a 2,200 foot elevation at the mountain summit. Our 1,200’ vertical rise allows Bristol Mountain to reign as the highest vertical between the Adirondack/Laurentian Mountains of the east and the Rocky Mountains of the west. There are 138 acres of total skiable terrain. Views from the summit and the 34 slopes and trails are breathtaking and provide a variety of inclines for every skier and snowboarder from beginner to expert with 32% of the slopes being novice, 50% intermediate, and 18% advanced level terrain. During our night operating season, 96% of our trails have lighting. To assure our skiers and snowboarders of the best possible snow conditions, Bristol Mountain is proud of its state-of-the-art snowmaking system which covers 97% of the terrain.
